Mykhaylo Chyzho, a cherished father, grandfather, and husband passed away on November 4, 2024 at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 26, 1930, Sambir, Ukraine, Mykhaylo will be remembered for his unwavering strength and the deep love he had for his family. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 6th from 6pm to 9pm with Panachida at 7:30pm at Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. West, Etobicoke, On M8V 1K3. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Featherstone, peacefully at home with his family at his side, on October 19th, 2024 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Linda Metherall for over 57 years. Cherished father of Blair (Elizabeth), Bryan (Jessica), and Michelle James (Colin), as well as family friend Arthur Ophelders. Grandpa will always be lovingly remembered by Joshua (Catherine), Jesse (Andrea), Skyler, Sydney, and Alexis. Great Grandfather to Elijah and Jude Featherstone. Survived by sisters Marianne Boyce (Keith) and Marjorie Welch. Gary was a proud member of Ironworkers Local 721 and was a superb craftsman, building his own home and helping many others with their projects and renovations. He loved sports, golf and skating in particular, but his passion was for his 1970 Chevelle. We will forever miss Gary’s quiet wisdom, principled spirit, and kind heart. Family and friends are invited to attend the Low & Low Funeral Home at 23 Main Street South in Uxbridge, 905-852-3073, on Wednesday October 23rd, 2024 for a service in the chapel at 2pm. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will take place at Uxbridge Cemetery after the service, followed by a reception back at the Funeral Home.

Frederick (Fred) Charles Robert Harbinson Surrounded by loved ones, Fred passed away on September 18th, 2024 in his 79th year in Sebright, Ontario leaving behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and community spirit. Fred was born on June 20, 1946 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Beloved husband of Dawn for 18 years. Loving father/stepfather to Cynthia, Larry (Tracy), Marjorie (Gaston), Michael (Emily), Danny (Haley), Melanie and Melodie (Greg). Cherished and proud Poppa to Michelle, Jake, Brandon, Olivia, Marcus, Will, Andrew, Ben, Brooklyn, Owen, Kyleigh, Logan, Dani, Jordyn, Lukas, Rachel, Avery, Austyn and Arye and great grandchildren Carter and Bentley. Also survived by sister Heather and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Elizabeth (Hurwrey), sister Susan, and brother Patrick. Fred moved to Ontario in his teenage years and was a proud and dedicated Ironworker for 48 years. He will be missed dearly by his union brothers. His work ethic was unmatched, and he took great pride in every project he contributed to. He enthusiastically reminisced about his projects and buildings, including working on the Hanlon Bridge in Guelph and repairs to the dome at Rogers Centre. In 2006, Fred and Dawn married and moved to Sebright, Ontario. He was quick to befriend his neighbours and insert himself into the community. Affectionately nicknamed “Mayor of McLeish” by neighbours, he was the welcoming committee for the street. When someone moved in, they were told to go meet Fred. Always ready with a helping hand, Fred’s friendly demeanour and genuine care for others made him a beloved figure in the community, and with family and friends. His neighbours could always count on him whether they needed assistance or just a warm smile. In his retirement, Fred enjoyed volunteering in the community including the Orillia Canada Day festivities, the Canadian National Pond Hockey Championships in Hunstville and the 2023 Women’s Worlds Hockey Tournament in Brampton. Fred met many friends at these events and could always be counted on. Dawn and Fred also enjoyed their time as snowbirds at the Compass Cove in Myrtle Beach. They met many friends from Canada and the United States. Always the life of the party, Fred will fondly be remembered for his willingness to participate in the comedy skits, from Frederika, Charlie Brown and a nun from Sister Act. His love of hockey and lifelong dedication to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and more recently women’s professional hockey filled many weeknights and weekends. There was either a game on tv, or Fred was passionately cheering on his grandchildren from the stands. Fred’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of hard work and kindness will continue to inspire those who were touched by his life. His infectious smile and positive outlook were permanent features that will truly be missed. We love you Poppa! In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. A celebration of Fred’s life will be held at Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle at 375 Westmount Drive, Orillia on Saturday October 12, 2024 from 12:30-3:30pm.

Michael Martin, Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Trenton Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the age of 66 years. Beloved spouse of Phyllis Despres. Mike will be lovingly remembered by Phyllis's children Jim Despres (Paula), Chantal Despres (Derek) and Corey Despres (Jaylene) and his many grandchildren. Beloved son of Shirley and the late Paul Martin and brother to Paul (Roxanne), Peter (Arlene), Adrienne (Mike McMurter) and Mark (Tracy). Mike will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Mike was a proud life long member of the Local 721 Ironworkers. A private family interment will be held at Mt Calvary Cemetery.

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Salvatore Brandiferri, who departed this life peacefully on September 5, 2024, while surrounded by the love and support of his family. His final moments were a testament to the deep bonds he cherished throughout his life. Born in Torricella, Sicura, Teramo, Italy, Salvatore was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Salvatore was deeply devoted to his beloved wife, Linda Brandiferri, with whom he shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love and commitment. Salvatore is survived by his three children, Mauro Brandiferri (Rita Brandiferri), Giuseppina Naccarato (Vincenzo Naccarato), and Fabio Brandiferri. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Samantha Rosa Naccarato, Pietro Vincenzo Naccarato (Amy Commisso), Jessica Nicole Brandiferri, and Marco Brandiferri. He is reunited in Heaven with his parents Domenica and Guiseppe Brandiferri and siblings Nicola and Mario Brandiferri. Salvatore leaves behind his siblings Elvira DeSantis (Santino DeSantis), and Settimio Brandiferri (Betsy Brandiferri). Salvatore will be remembered for his warm heart and unwavering dedication to his family. He was a man of strength and kindness, whose memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Haw, Alan John It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alan John Haw, who left us on August 30th at the age of 60 after a courageous battle. Al was the cherished partner of Cathy Patten, the love of his life, with whom he shared countless memories and adventures. Al was a beloved brother to Vicki, Doug, Dennis, and Gary. He was loved by his many in-laws and extended family. Though he never had children of his own, he found joy in the company of his nieces and nephews, along with his many great-nieces and nephews. He was also known as Grandpa Al to Maddy. A man who enjoyed life, Al had a passion for hunting, fishing, and sharing drinks with good friends. He loved to tell a good story, always ensuring everyone had a laugh and a great time. His legacy is one of laughter, friendship, and a life well-lived. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Al's life will be held at the Dundalk Legion, 109 Proton Street North, Dundalk on September 14, 2024 from 1 – 4 p.m., timed to respect hunting season. May he rest in peace.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished brother, Liberato (Libby) Masucci, on June 12, 2024, at the age of 59. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Rosaria; his brother, Tony, and sister-in-law, Mirella; his sister, Mary (Raffaela), and brother-in-law, Phil. He will especially be missed by his nephews, Joseph, Sebastian, Ryan, and Jordan. Libby is now reunited with his father, Giuseppe. Libby was born in San Massino, in the Province of Campobasso, Italy, and came to Canada when he was 5 months old. He was very proud of his Italian heritage. Libby’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and watching the Boston Bruins play hockey. He was an avid sports enthusiast who loved watching all sporting events. Affectionately known as Uncle Buck, Libby loved seeing his nephews and always had a big smile when they visited. For those who knew Libby well, his unique way of speaking was infectious. Although he has departed from this world, his spirit will continue to fill the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. He will be terribly missed and most remembered for his infectious laugh and sense of humour. He will always be remembered as the life of the party. We will cherish our special memories of him, carrying them with us through difficult times and celebrating with them during the good times. Libby’s memory will forever be a source of comfort to all who were blessed to have known him. May he rest in peace.

Gary Bosse of Cochrane, AB, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the age of 47 years. Gary was the loving father of his two sons, Adonte Bosse and Angelis Bosse. He was a beloved son to Gilles Bosse and Sandra Bosse, with his mother predeceasing him. He is also survived and cherished by his brother Mike Bosse, and little sister Michelle Bosse. Gary will be greatly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Ford Anderson on May 9, 2024, at the age of 71. Doug was born in Brandon, Manitoba on July 13, 1952, to parents Kay and Walter. On June 28, 1975, Doug married his beloved wife, Rhonda. Doug was an ironworker with Local 721 Toronto for 31 years. He retired in 2006 and enjoyed travelling and touring in his corvette. Doug loved spending time with his grandchildren, boating, golfing, camping, or just hanging out at the river in his zero-gravity chair.

Doug is survived by his loving wife Rhonda (nee Freeman), his sons Dereck (Kim) and Troy (Jeanine). Proud grandfather of Nicholas, Holly, and Ethan. Doug was an uncle to two nieces and 2 nephews, and great uncle to four nieces and one nephew. Doug is also survived by his mother Kay (nee Ford), his brother Jim (Sandie Ezeard), his sister Darlene (Clay) Sawyer. Doug is predeceased by his brother Daryl and his father Walter.

God called Francesco peacefully on May 2, 2024 at the age of 86. He will be forever missed by his loving wife of 51 years, Santa Mastroianni (née Palermo). Cherished by his dear children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his siblings. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth C. Butler in North Bay, Ontario on April 23, 2024 at the age of 86. Kenneth, fondly known as Kenny, was a devoted husband to Lillian and loving father to Cliff, Marion, Sandy and Patti (predeceased). Kenny will be greatly missed by his six grandchildren Jennifer, Chad, Karrie, Nathan, Che and David, as well as his many great grandchildren. Kenny came from a long line of ironworkers which included his father and two brothers. His proud work on a variety of construction projects have stood the test of time and include the Burlington Skyway, the CN Tower and Canada’s Wonderland to name a few. He brought his passion home with him and always seemed to have a project on the go. He loved nothing more than to putter at Trout Lake and was always the first to lend a helping hand to friends and family. Kenny had a huge heart which extended to animals of all kinds. In keeping with Kenny’s wishes, cremation is to take place. A private celebration of his life will be held for family and friends at a later time.

George Walter Lawson passed away peacefully at home on April 2nd, 2024 at 73 years of age. Loving husband of Blanca Rosa Lawson. Beloved father of Richard (Subin) and Luisa (Jayme). Proud grandfather of Anahata, Cassidy and Cole.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Widdicks on March 25, 2024 in Barrie, ON at Royal Victoria Hospital. He was 88 years old. John was born in Belleville, ON and lived in Trenton, ON most of his life. He is predeceased by his wife Eva (Boldrick).  He is also predeceased by his parents James and Carrie (Jordison) and his siblings Carol, Frank and Barbara (Nutley). He is survived by his children Lisa and Derek (Tracy) and his grandchildren Jordan (Jenna) and Lindsay. John was a longtime member of Ironworker’s Local 721 and was very proud of his work building bridges and buildings all over Ontario. He also had many interests and hobbies including archery, softball, hockey and skiing, a love of the outdoors and a love of building things.  He was always curious and interested in doing new things. Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Kaellie. She was the spit fire, loving, considerate daughter to Pam (Don) and Sean (Mel) Shea and best friend and sister to Kyle (Kayla). Cherished granddaughter of Richard (Ruth) McLean, Dave (late Sharon) Fletcher, George (late Barbara) Shea and Suzie Southren. She will also be missed by her aunts, uncles and cousins; Kevin Shea (Kerry Newman), Kerry Shea (Todd Southren), Gavin, Keagan, Rylan, and Sydney. Kaellie was a selfless, determined, passionate individual who was always there to lift others up. She loved raising her chickens, taking care of her plants and her loving dog Muddy.
